Time to vote is now and not just in November.
With all the presidential campaign activities and analysis, one can not help to wonder how this race will turn out. I for one love listening to people talk about what is influencing the campaigns and who is going to win. Will McCain become the next president or will Obama win? Who do U think?

One thing for sure, the eyes of the world are watching. While at the WHO Assembly in Geneva this past May, I was repeatedly asked by our nurse colleagues around the world, who do I think will win? It was very amazing; several saw CNN coverage where I was introducing Hillary Clinton on stage in Seattle, Washington as ANA endorsed her. Talk about great media coverage. But it also is about ANA being engaged in the political process and using it to get our mission accomplished for the stake of the patient.
It is not just ANA that needs to be engaged, all of us need to be engage for the stake of our patients. Health care is in trouble. No argument there.
Who do U think offers the best chance of getting elected and leading the change needed in health care? As an ANA member I am asking U to vote for who U believe will be the strongest advocate for the nursing community while serving in the White House. ANA's Election 2008 ACTION Center is home to the "Virtual Voting Booth," an online poll that will give voice to the presidential candidate most preferred by nurses. http://nursingworld.wsm.ga6.org/voting-booth/american-nurses-association.html
Each candidate's health care plans, nursing platforms, and responses to ANA's 2008 Presidential Candidate Questionnaire on the "Meet the 2008 Presidential Candidates" are available on ANA's Election 2008 Action Center.
Voting ends August 31st! Cast Your Vote Today.
