Mandate.

It appears to me that we are increasing becoming a nation that requires mandates. Is that a good thing? Yet many individuals reject them for many reasons. In the United States we have a proud history of freedom. Whether it is Freedom of choice or freedom of speech we want nothing less.

Take for example; wearing seat belts became a mandate to minimize personal injuries. But what about other mandates?

This year presidential candidates have mandates in their health care plans. One requires every American to obtain some level of coverage while the other requires every child to have some level of coverage. Strong rationale supports the financial impact for these mandates.
